The State Post Bureau of the People's Republic of China, established in 2008 (deputy ministerial level), is a national bureau managed by the Ministry of Transport of the People's Republic of China. The State Post Bureau undertakes the responsibility of postal supervision, promotes the establishment of a universal postal service system covering urban and rural areas, promotes the establishment and improvement of universal and special service guarantee mechanisms, puts forward postal service price policies and postal basic service price suggestions, and supervises their implementation. Represent the country in international postal organizations, handle inter-governmental postal affairs, formulate postal foreign cooperation and exchange policies and organize their implementation, handle postal foreign affairs, and manage work involving Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan in accordance with regulations.
