Jordan Chan has a younger brother and two younger sisters, both of whom are not in the entertainment industry.

In 1985, Jordan Chan joined the TVB Dance Artist Training Class and served as a member of the groups Leopard Boy and Feng Huohai. In 1994, he won the Best Supporting Actor Award at the 14th Hong Kong Film Awards for his movie "Nine to Five". In 1980, 13-year-old Chen Xiaochun dropped out of school in the first grade of junior high school and followed his father to Hong Kong to make a living. Due to lack of nutrition, he looked much younger than his actual age. He could not find a formal job, so he could only do odd jobs at the construction site where his father worked.
