Before the GMAT reform, the GMAT exam score calculation process could basically be divided into two steps:

(1) First, calculate the basic score. Similar to the GRE Professional Test, the base score is equal to the number of correct answers minus 1/4 of the number of incorrect answers.

(2) Convert the basic score into standard score according to the following formula, standard score = 21(3.75×basic score)

Note: If the calculated standard score exceeds 800 points , the actual standard score will be adjusted to 800 points; if the calculated standard score is lower than 200 points, the actual standard score will be adjusted to 200 points.
