Renting a bank card is generally a crime of money laundering. The proceeds from the above crimes and the proceeds generated therefrom shall be confiscated, and the person shall be sentenced to fixed-term imprisonment of not more than five years or criminal detention, concurrently or separately. A fine of not less than 5% but not more than 20% of the amount of money laundered shall be imposed; if the circumstances are serious, the person shall be sentenced to fixed-term imprisonment of not less than five years but not more than 10 years, and shall also be fined not less than 5% but not more than 20% of the amount of money laundered. Lending a bank card to others for use may lead to imprisonment. Lending a bank card to others and using it to commit crimes is illegal and may constitute credit card fraud and money laundering. When an individual applies for a bank card, he or she must provide the card-issuing bank with his or her valid ID card required by the public security department. Bank cards and their accounts can only be used by cardholders approved by the card issuing bank and may not be rented or lent. Article 28 of the "Measures for the Administration of Bank Card Business" stipulates that when an individual applies for a bank card, he or she must provide the card-issuing bank with his or her valid identity document specified by the public security department. After the card-issuing bank passes the review, a registered account will be opened for the bank card. The cards and their accounts can only be used by cardholders approved by the card-issuing bank, and are not allowed to be rented or lent.

A fine of not less than 5% but not more than 20%: (1) Providing a capital account; (2) Assisting in converting property into cash, financial instruments, or securities; (3) Assisting in the transfer of funds through transfer or other settlement methods; (4) Assisting in remitting funds overseas; (5) Using other methods to cover up or conceal criminal proceeds and the source and nature of the proceeds.
