How to identify fake credit cards? These skills are to be mastered.
Credit card information disclosure can easily be made into fake cards by criminals and stolen on POS machines, but if POS merchants fail to identify fake card transactions in time, they need to bear the loss of stolen cards. Therefore, businesses must identify fake credit cards in time. Here are some ways to identify fake credit cards.

First of all, from the credit card itself:

1) Check whether the number at the beginning of the credit card number matches the card issuer. UnionPay single currency card starts with 62, UnionPay +VISA dual currency card starts with 4, and UnionPay+MasterCard dual currency card starts with 5. If the card number does not match the card issuer, it is undoubtedly a fake card;

2) Check whether the validity period of the credit card expires, and check whether the customer service phone number on the back of the credit card matches the customer service phone number marked by the card issuer.

Second, from the credit card POS single identification:

After the credit card transaction, compare the credit card number displayed on the POS ticket with the card number on the credit card. If it is inconsistent, it may be a fake card.

Third, the caller identification:

If the counterfeiting technology of fake cards is relatively high and can't be recognized by the naked eye, but you are afraid of encountering fake cards, you can directly call the China UnionPay authorization center and report the first 6 digits of the card number to the authorized personnel, so that the authorized personnel can check whether the issuing bank marked on the credit card is consistent with the actual issuing bank. If not, it must be a fake card.

Four, from the cardholder behavior identification:

Using a fake card to swipe a card will hide the credit card, and you will be nervous when swiping the card. Merchants will be impatient when checking the credit card, and even deliberately find other topics to distract the merchants, and take back the credit card immediately after swiping the card. These are all manifestations of ghosts and guilty conscience.
