Case: "Card keeper" was detained for holding nearly 600 credit cards

The popularity of credit cards has given rise to a group of people who are unable to repay their credit card debts. This has resulted in the emergence of a group of credit card "card keepers" who specialize in repaying credit card debts for people and charge a certain fee as compensation. Recently, Tongzhou police cracked a case of obstructing credit card management, arrested a suspect, and confiscated nearly 600 bank cards, several POS machines and other items.

On August 16, while investigating a public security case, police from the Yongshun Police Station of the Tongzhou Public Security Bureau discovered that the house rented by the suspect Wang had hundreds of credit cards and debit cards belonging to different people and banks. And several credit card POS machines and a large number of card consumption records.

"It is impossible for normal people to hand over their credit cards to others for safekeeping and use." The police immediately summoned the suspect Wang to the police station for investigation. At the same time, the police actively contacted the credit card owner to understand the situation.

After review, Wang confessed that he was a professional "card keeper" and that all the bank credit cards he held were used to repay other people's loans. Each time a payment was made, he would be charged according to the repayment amount. A certain percentage of the fee is charged, and the money to repay the credit card is swiped from other credit cards through the POS machine.

At present, Wang has been criminally detained by Tongzhou police in accordance with the law on suspicion of obstructing credit card management, and the case is under further investigation.
