China Construction Bank, formerly known as People's Construction Bank of China, was established in June 1954+ 10/(later renamed as China Construction Bank on March 26th, 1 996). The head office is located at No.25, Financial Street, Beijing. It is a large state-owned bank managed by the central government and a national deputy ministerial unit. The main business areas of China Construction Bank include corporate banking, personal banking and treasury business, with branches and subsidiaries in 29 countries and regions, and subsidiaries in many industries such as funds, leasing, trust, life insurance, property insurance, investment banking, futures and pension. The basic background of the establishment of China Construction Bank is that People's Republic of China (PRC) began to implement the first five-year plan to develop the national economy, and large-scale economic construction centered on the construction of 156 key projects has been launched in various parts of the country. In order to manage the huge construction funds, China Construction Bank came into being.
