1980, two bronze chariots drawn by four horses were found on the west side of Qin Shihuang's mausoleum. The car body is painted with colorful patterns, and the horse is white. The pigments used in the painting are all mineral pigments mixed with glue, and three-dimensional lines are shaped through the concentration of glue. Cars, horses and figurines are about the size of real cars, horses and people 1/2. Completely imitated and meticulously produced, it truly reproduces the driving style of Qin Shihuang. The chariots and horses are decorated with a lot of gold and silver. Both bronze chariots and horses are cast first and then carefully processed, and the technology level is quite high.
The copper wire used for the wreath and chain of bronze horse is only about half a millimeter in diameter, and some are thinner. It is speculated that the Tongche Horse Pit may be only a part of the burial pit of Qin Shihuang Mausoleum. Up to now, all kinds of chains on bronze chariots still rotate flexibly, and doors and windows can be opened and closed freely, which affects the balance of shafts and can still be carried and moved. The bronze chariots and horses in Qinling Mountains are known as the "bronze crown" in ancient China.
