Credit card, also called debit card, is a credit certificate issued by a commercial bank or credit card company to eligible consumers. Consumers with credit cards can go to the specialized commercial service department for shopping or spending, and then the bank will settle accounts with merchants and cardholders, and cardholders can overdraw within the prescribed limit. Credit card consumption is a non-cash transaction payment method, so there is no need to pay cash when spending, and the bill will be repaid later. Credit cards are divided into credit cards and quasi-credit cards. Credit card refers to a credit card in which the cardholder has a certain credit limit and can spend first and then repay. Quasi-credit card means that the cardholder deposits a certain amount of reserve fund according to the regulations, and when the balance of the reserve fund account is insufficient to pay, it can be overdrawn within the prescribed credit limit.
Second, the consequences of overdue credit cards
1. Repayment within the grace period: 2-3 days after the repayment date is the grace period. As long as the current bill is settled within this period, the bank will regard it as normal repayment, which has no impact on personal credit.
2. One-day overdue repayment: after the repayment date, the next day's repayment is one day overdue. If ICBC uses a credit card, it will calculate the interest on a daily basis and pay a late fee of 5%. Overdue records will also be uploaded to PBOC for credit investigation.
3. According to the regulations, as long as the user's credit card is overdue for more than 3 months, and the bank has effectively collected the user at least twice during the overdue period, if the user still fails to repay, it is a malicious overdraft, and the bank has the right to sue the overdue cardholder. Once a lawsuit is filed, the court will make a corresponding judgment according to the severity of overdue users.
To sum up, although credit cards are convenient for people's lives, they can easily lead to impulsive consumption. When buying goods, you must think rationally.
