Although they are the same card, the credit card and Yangchengtong are different accounts, and there is no function of transferring money directly from the credit card account to Yangchengtong account. I've used this card for almost 10 years, and it's all recharged through Alipay or WeChat (you can pay by credit card). After recharging, the amount should be charged into the Yangchengtong account through the easy terminal in the subway station or some convenience stores by using the flying function. However, if your mobile phone has NFC function, you can directly charge the Yangchengtong account without flying this step.

This card used to have a purple panel and no chip function. It has been discontinued. Now, whether it is a gold card or a general card, it is a green panel card with chip function.

Because the Yangchengtong account on each card is independent, after the card expires and a new card is replaced, the old card can be handled by itself and used as a family Yangchengtong account. The new card's Yangchengtong account is a new account and needs to be recharged before it can be used. It is best not to transfer the balance of the old card to the new card at the Yangchengtong service point. According to the regulations, the staff will directly punch holes in the old card after the transfer, which will destroy the function of the old card and then return it to you.
