I recently read an announcement on the official website of China Construction Bank: Starting from April 1, 2016, the UnionPay QuickPass online small-amount fast payment service will be available for Dragon Card UnionPay chip cards, referred to as the "small-amount password-free and visa-free" service. We would like to inform you of the relevant matters as follows:

1. "Small-amount password-free and visa-free" is a fast payment service provided by China UnionPay to cardholders. When you use a Long Card credit card with the "Quick Pass" logo to make transactions of a certain amount (300 yuan domestically, and the local limit overseas) and below at designated merchants, you only need to bring the card or mobile device close to the terminal to "Quick Pass" "Sensing area to complete the payment. During the payment process, you do not need to enter a password or sign.

2. In order to ensure the safety of card use, the single-day cumulative transaction limit of a single card for the small-amount password-free and visa-free service of Dragon Card Credit Card UnionPay chip card is: domestically, it is less than RMB 1,000 (inclusive), and overseas, the local limit is allow.

If you use chip QuickPass today and the transaction amount is less than 300, you do not need to verify the password. If it is other circumstances, it may be that your credit card has been set up to be password-free below a certain amount. This can be modified by calling the CCB customer service hotline.
