Legal analysis: the crime of stealing, buying or illegally providing credit card information refers to the act of stealing, buying or illegally providing credit card information, which objectively manifests as the act of obtaining or exchanging money or material for other people's credit card information by secret means, or the act of providing other people's credit card information privately in violation of relevant regulations. Under any of the following circumstances, the employee of a bank or other financial institution may be convicted and punished for this crime: taking advantage of his work, stealing, buying or illegally providing other people's credit card information; taking, buying or illegally providing other people's credit card information in large quantities, resulting in great losses to the interests of the state and citizens and other serious consequences.

Legal basis: Article 177 of the Criminal Law of the People's Republic of China forges or alters financial bills under any of the following circumstances, and shall be sentenced to fixed-term imprisonment of not more than five years or criminal detention, and shall also, or shall only, be fined not less than 2, yuan but not more than 2, yuan, be sentenced to fixed-term imprisonment of not less than five years but not more than 1 years, and shall also be fined not less than 5, yuan but not more than 5, yuan, and shall be sentenced to fixed-term imprisonment of not less than 1 years or life imprisonment.
