How long will the credit card expire and not be activated?
If the credit card is not activated, the expiration date is related to the validity period of the card. Generally, credit cards are valid for three years, five years or even longer, and the longest can reach eight years. In other words, if the credit card is not activated or cancelled after processing, it will automatically become invalid after the expiration date.

The validity period of the credit card can be viewed on the front of the credit card. A date, such as 03/23, is printed under the card number of the credit card, indicating that the credit card is valid until March 2023. If the account is not activated or cancelled before March 2023, the credit card will be invalid and cannot be used.

If you want to use a credit card that has not been activated after expiration, you need to apply again. This card will not be issued directly, and the credit card center will approve it according to the credit information when re-applying.

So if you don't want to use the credit card after receiving it, it is recommended to cancel it, because some credit cards will charge an annual fee if they are not activated. You can call the official hotline on the back of the credit card and ask the customer service staff to cancel it for you or go to the counter to cancel it.
