Credit cards have a fixed billing date every month. The final repayment date is 20 days after the billing date. Repay the bill amount in full before the final repayment date, and enjoy the interest-free period for consumption. If the payment is not repaid in full and on time, the consumption will not enjoy the interest-free period, and the bank will charge interest on the full amount at 50,000 per day from the date your consumption is recorded.
To give you a rough calculation, because the first installment of the bill is not repaid in full, interest will be charged. If calculated based on 30 days, then the interest will be 4000*0.0005*30=60. If you have repaid 800 by the second month, then the interest will be (4000-800 60) * 0.0005 * 30 = 48.9. By analogy every month, by the time you have repaid 4000, the interest will be less than 200. .
I personally suggest that you apply for CCB’s bill installment, that is, apply to CCB for installment of the billed consumption amount between the bill date and the final repayment date (can only be applied for once in 30 days). However, the maximum application amount shall not exceed 90% of the total consumption amount in the issued bill (excluding cash withdrawals, installment payments, and other transactions specified by CCB). This application is for the entire bill.
If it is 4,000 yuan, you can apply for an installment of up to 4,000*90=3,600. If you successfully apply for 6 installments, then the installment principal of each subsequent installment is 3,600/6=600, and the handling fee for each installment is 3600*0.56=20.16, the total handling fee for 6 periods is 120.96. The installment amount recorded in each subsequent period is 600 20.16 = 620.16.
Compared with the issuance, it is more cost-effective to apply for installment than to pay back the interest. CCB’s bill installments now have handling fee discounts. You can log in to the CCB credit card website and click on the bill installments to learn more.
