Refund after bill cannot be counted as current repayment, which is actually a "convention" implemented by many banks, such as CITIC and Guangfa. Some bankers explained that in the bank credit card system, refund and cash repayment belong to different transaction types. Refund only cancels the original transaction, not the actual repayment. After the refund, this account is not really credited to the credit card, but is credited to the next billing cycle, which is used as the overpayment of the credit card to deduct the next debt. Some bankers also said that this was caused by different accounting rules. For example, if the refund occurs before the current billing date, the current repayment can be deducted because it is included in the current account. However, if it happens after the current billing date and before the repayment date, it can only be included in the next billing cycle for deduction.
However, some banks, such as China Merchants Bank, ICBC, China Construction Bank and Xingye, stipulate that as long as the money is repaid before the repayment date, it can be deducted from the current bill amount. "Of course, there is a prerequisite that your consumption occurs before the accounting date of this issue. If it is the consumption and refund after the bookkeeping date, it will be included in the next bookkeeping cycle according to the time when the consumption occurs.
