Do I need to take photos of the front and back of my ID card to apply for a credit card?

Photos of the front and back of the ID card cannot be used to apply for a credit card.

For credit card applications, you must use your original ID card and other supporting materials to be eligible to apply for a credit card. When bank staff review the materials submitted by the applicant, they need to read the applicant's personal information on the card reader to confirm the authenticity of the information. If there are only photos of the front and back of the ID card, the staff cannot read the applicant's personal information. Because the photos are suspected of being fake, there is a certain risk if a credit card is issued to the applicant, so the front and back photos cannot be used to apply for a credit card.

According to bank regulations, only those who are between 18 and 70 years old and have full capacity for civil conduct can apply for a credit card.

Credit card application process:

1. Fill in the application form;

2. Give the bank your own information and a copy;

3. The bank sends it to the credit card center;
