Why can securities practitioners buy funds?
The Securities Law only stipulates that securities practitioners cannot buy stocks, but does not stipulate that securities practitioners cannot buy funds. Securities practitioners can't buy stocks mainly to prevent insider trading, but they can't control what stocks the fund buys.

Article 40 Securities law practitioners of securities trading places, securities companies, securities registration and settlement institutions, staff of securities supervision and administration institutions, and other personnel who are prohibited from participating in stock trading according to laws and administrative regulations shall not hold, buy or sell stocks or other securities with equity nature directly or in the name of others, or accept stocks or other securities with equity nature as gifts from others during their term of office or within the statutory time limit.
