So far, Kong Jining has planned to publish CoCo Lee's self-reports, such as My Childhood and the Leader's Father, The Real Mao Zedong, Mao Zedong after a Hundred Years, etc. Mao Zedong's concern for farmers and rural issues had a far-reaching impact on Kong Jining. Kong Jining once said: "I am not an expert on the issues concerning agriculture, rural areas and farmers, but I hope I can contribute to solving the issues concerning agriculture, rural areas and farmers."

In 2006, Kong Jining initiated the establishment of the Oriental Kunlun Public Welfare Fund in cooperation with the China Youth Foundation. The first project started is "Hope Hospital-Township Health Center Rescue Action".
