The establishment of the Intangible Cultural Heritage Association, a national intangible cultural heritage protection institution, can not only effectively organize and carry out the protection of intangible cultural heritage, but also be of great significance for China to fulfill its obligations as a party to the UNESCO Convention for the Protection of Intangible Cultural Heritage and exercise its rights as a member of the Intergovernmental Committee for the Protection of Intangible Cultural Heritage.

At the same time, in order to provide a relatively stable economic foundation for the protection and inheritance of China's intangible cultural heritage, the Association also established the Intangible Cultural Heritage Foundation (referred to as the Intangible Cultural Heritage Foundation). As a public offering foundation specially approved by the Ministry of Civil Affairs, the Intangible Cultural Heritage Foundation will operate in a completely non-profit way, fully use the raised funds for the protection of intangible cultural heritage, and promise to use 30% of the raised funds to promote the economy and industrialization of intangible cultural development in China.

In addition, the Intangible Cultural Heritage Association has established an official website to contribute to the protection and promotion of intangible cultural heritage through online and offline combination.
