The National Medical Insurance Bureau issued the Notice on Doing a Good Job in Influenza Prevention and Control for the Insured Persons of Basic Medical Insurance, requiring all localities to appropriately relax the conditions in terms of admission criteria and the selection of designated hospitals according to the actual situation of influenza epidemic and the needs of patients, so as to ensure that the insured patients get timely treatment.

The "Notice" clarifies that during the influenza epidemic, the medical insurance limited payment scope of oseltamivir (oral sustained-release dosage forms and granules) and peramivir sodium chloride (injection) will be temporarily adjusted to limit the anti-influenza virus treatment of high-risk groups and severe patients with severe influenza. More often, oseltamivir is usually available in medical institutions, and patients themselves cannot buy it in pharmacies.

Medical insurance reimbursement conditions

According to the basic requirements of the payment of basic medical insurance benefits in China, the insured person who goes to the medical insurance institution to reimburse the medical expenses incurred by himself for medical treatment generally meets the following conditions:

1, the insured person must go to the designated medical institution of basic medical insurance or the designated retail pharmacy determined by the social insurance institution with the medical prescription issued by the doctor in the designated hospital.

2. The medical expenses incurred by the insured in the process of medical treatment must conform to the basic medical insurance drug list, diagnosis and treatment items, the scope of medical service facilities standards and payment standards, and can be paid by the basic medical insurance fund according to regulations.

3. The medical expenses incurred by the insured that meet the payment scope of basic medical insurance shall be paid by the social medical pooling fund in a unified proportion, with the expenses above the Qifubiaozhun and below the maximum payment limit.
