The Lord of the Rings's translation in Chinese mainland is not up to standard. There have never been more than a dozen versions of The Lord of the Rings. There are only four Chinese versions of The Lord of the Rings: Old Edition, Vientiane Edition, Lianjing Edition and Yilin Edition. Yilin version is the only mainland translation, not the worst, but definitely not the "best". At first, Lin's translated version was condemned and resisted by fantasy lovers for many reasons. The most important thing is that the translation quality is not up to standard. There are at least 200 translation defects in each volume, and even the translation titles of the three volumes cannot be unified because of the three-person translation.
At present, the best translation of The Lord of the Rings is Lianjing Edition. Here is the download of this version of TXT ebook.
