Tang Xicheng (1924-1993), a famous master of Henan Opera, was called "the first life of Henan Opera" by Zong Xiangfu, the founder of Tang Opera.

Jia Tingju studied under Tang Xicheng, the founder of the Tang School, and became a disciple of the second generation head of the Tang School of Henan Opera, a famous performing artist of Henan Opera, a leader of Xu Sheng, the head of the Tang School, and a representative inheritor of the national intangible cultural heritage of Henan Opera.
