In 212, HKU will cooperate with Cambridge to recruit 15 mainland candidates.

Recently, the University of Hong Kong announced that it will cooperate with Cambridge University in the United Kingdom to recruit 15 outstanding mainland students to study engineering undergraduate majors. All students who take the 212 mainland college entrance examination can apply.

According to Guo Yingqi, director of enrollment in the Academic Affairs Office of the University of Hong Kong, the joint enrollment plan launched by the University of Hong Kong and Cambridge University in the United Kingdom has no more than 15 enrollment places, which is open to all candidates who take the 212 mainland college entrance examination. Mainland students only need to apply for the "212 Undergraduate Admission Scheme for Mainland University of Hong Kong" in accordance with normal procedures, and there is no need to register separately. Students who choose to apply for this joint project should focus on math scores in addition to college entrance examination results and interview results.

Students selected for the program will enter the School of Engineering of the University of Hong Kong for one year. A person in charge of enrollment at Cambridge University said that after completing the one-year study at HKU, Cambridge will send an interviewer to interview these students at HKU, focusing on the students' knowledge, interest and understanding of the subject, and at the same time, refer to the students' academic performance and English ability at HKU, and select the best candidates.

Students who have passed the examination of Cambridge University will go to Cambridge to complete their undergraduate and postgraduate studies, with a four-year academic system. You can apply for scholarships provided by the Cambridge Foundation while studying at Cambridge University. Students who are not recommended or unwilling to continue their undergraduate studies at Cambridge University can continue to complete their undergraduate courses at the School of Engineering of the University of Hong Kong.
