Disease is just a name. A big tree has a trunk and countless branches and leaves. People who lack holistic view tend to pay attention to branches and leaves, while those who have holistic view pay attention to trunk first.
As for ordinary people, people can't live without eating. In other words, eating should be a very important part of people's lives, that is, the trunk. Mencius said, "Life is nothing more than eating and drinking." Food and color are two major desires in life, and lust is very short-lived. People who know the Tao regard it as an act of reproduction. After this task is completed, people who know the Tao will not be greedy. However, the appetite is there every day, at least once a day. The essence of diet is to eat less and be light.
Food needs digestion and gasification.
Eating less can make food fully digested and gasified. We often understand digestion as gasification, which is a misunderstanding. The abstract discussion of digestion and gasification is difficult to understand. Let's take the refining of gasoline as an example. Gasoline is extracted from crude oil, because crude oil cannot be burned as a high-grade fuel, but it can be used as a low-grade fuel. After the crude oil is ignited, it can be burned on kang or boiler, but it cannot be used as high-grade fuel for cars and planes. Advanced oil needs a refining process, similar to the digestion of food. Crude oil can be refined into diesel oil, kerosene and gasoline (all of which can be used as advanced fuels), and the residue is asphalt. The more spicy you eat, the smaller your temper is; The smaller your temper, the more you want to eat spicy food, thus entering a crazy cycle.
The key problem of modern people's diet is to solve digestion rather than gasification. Things that don't vaporize are filled between the eleven zang-fu organs and the skin. When you don't know anything, nutrients can't be metabolized effectively, and diseases come.

The rancid gas will burn people's muscles and even blood, and people's faces will be blue and their skin will be rough. Therefore, we should insist on reducing our appetite and stopping eating when we are excited. There are several stages of eating. For example, you can eat two bowls of rice. Half an hour later, people are not hungry, but feel quite full and comfortable, because food is not only digested, but also vaporized, and as an energy, it reaches the limbs of the human body. If you can eat two bowls after eating one bowl, people will feel nothing when the third bowl is finished. Why? My stomach is full and I don't move. If you don't move, the food will turn sour. People want to lie down for a while, but if they can't lie down, they are also sour. They get up again. They don't know what they are doing. They are confused and bloated and in an uncomfortable state.
Therefore, Huangdi Neijing clearly told us 2500 years ago: eat less and benefit qi.
If you are not thirsty after a meal, you will be tasteless.
Why is it light? If we sprinkle some salt on the fresh fish and meat we bought, we will soon produce a lot of water. This is called dehydration. When cold dishes are mixed with tomatoes, if sugar and salt are put in half an hour in advance, they will be dehydrated soon, because sugar and salt are thicker. The same is true of human cells.
Why light? Because the salty, fresh and sweet food in the stomach just meets the needs of human cells, people are not thirsty after eating. When you feel thirsty, the taste is heavy. Why? Because the cells are dehydrated after the food goes in. On the contrary, eating is very light, and you don't need to drink water after eating, which shows that the taste is right, which coincides with modern medicine. Modern medicine stipulates that you should not eat more than 6 grams of salt every day, and you should take a spoonful. Too much is wrong, because many modern diseases are eating too much salt. In fact, our ancestors made it very clear 2,500 years ago.
