The formal establishment of the bonfire party
There are few festivals of Oroqen nationality, and the only important festival before settlement is Spring Festival. The Spring Festival of Oroqen people is a time to bid farewell to the old and welcome the new, and celebrate the harvest of hunting. On New Year's Eve, the whole family lit a bonfire in front of the door to worship, hoping that Vulcan would protect people and animals and give more prey. Besides the Spring Festival, the Oroqen people also light bonfires every time they come back from hunting, sit around with their people, sing and dance to celebrate their return from hunting.

After the founding of New China, the Oroqen people ended their primitive life, but their feelings for fire did not weaken. They eagerly hoped to have a national festival with bonfires as the main form. Approved by the Standing Committee of the People's Congress of Oroqen Autonomous Banner, June 18 of the Gregorian calendar is the Oroqen Torch Festival every year.

In Oroqen Autonomous Banner, the bonfire party has become a grand event to strengthen national unity, enhance the national cohesion of the Oroqen people and show the style of the Oroqen people in the new era.

In order to improve the quality of the bonfire party, carry forward and inherit the excellent national culture, further inspire the national spirit, enhance the popularity and influence of the Oroqen nationality at home and abroad, let the unique national culture of the Oroqen nationality be passed down from generation to generation, realize the interaction between culture and economic development, and promote all-round social progress. In 2006, it was decided by the joint meeting of the four detachments of Autonomous Banner to build a permanent bonfire party square integrating the historical and cultural heritage of Oroqen nationality, patriotic education, festivals, tourism and leisure. In July 2007, Comrade Buhe, former vice chairman of the National People's Congress, wrote an inscription for the site of the bonfire party in Kutour Banner when he inspected Oroqen Autonomous Banner. Kutour Banner of Oroqen nationality means "blessed land and auspicious treasure land". In order to inherit and carry forward the excellent national culture of the Oroqen nationality and make it immortal in the vast cultural history of the motherland with its unique charm, from 65438 to 0995, the Oroqen nationality research society arranged a song and dance program with strong national characteristics and an interesting national competitive project, including talented people, talented women and migration, which entrusted the people of the Oroqen nationality with respect and memory for their predecessors.
