Natural resources in southern Anhui

South Anhui is rich in water resources. Four major water systems, namely, Yangtze River, Xin 'anjiang River, Qingyijiang River and Shuiyangjiang River, are dotted with beautiful lakes such as Shijiu Lake, Nanyi Lake, Taiping Lake (AAAA level), Pingtian Lake (AAAA level) and shengjin lake (AAAA level). Wuhu Port and Maanshan Port are listed as the main inland ports in South Anhui. Regional important ports include Chizhou Port and Tongling Port; General ports include Xuancheng Port and Huangshan Port. Compared with Huaibei Plain, the plain along the Yangtze River is relatively broken, but it has mild climate, abundant rainfall, long frost-free period, fertile soil, numerous rivers and lakes, developed water network and convenient irrigation, so it is the highest level of agricultural production in the province. Most of the rice in the province has always come from here, so Wuhu was once one of the four rice markets in China.
