The predecessor of the World Electric Motorcycle Championship is the World Cup Electric Motorcycle Road Race.
In recent years, under the influence of global warming, countries around the world have paid more attention to environmental protection, and clean energy has been favored by people, and has begun to develop rapidly as a zero-emission electric energy transfer tool. In 2008, Azha Hussein, a British electronic entrepreneur, started to create the world's first zero-emission electric motorcycle race and named it TTXGP. In 2009, this competition made its debut in Mantt, England. * * * There are more than 0/0 electric racing cars/KLOC, but only 6 cars have finished the whole race.
The birth of this competition immediately attracted the attention of all parties. 20 10, rapidly developed into TTXGP European series and north American regional competition. * * * More than 10 teams from all over the world participated in the annual competition, and related electrical component manufacturers also began to participate in the competition. Agni Motor, an Indian motor manufacturer, participated in the competition as a manufacturer team.
20 1 1 TTXGP has been further developed, including not only the European series and the North American regional competition, but also the Australian series, with 1 1 games throughout the year. In the same year, China Zongshen team also formally participated in the competition. On the field, the dispute between China Zongshen team and Italian CRP team became the highlight of the game. At the same time, the International Automobile Federation (FIM) has also started to set up the FIM ePower Championship parallel to TTXGP, but there are only four epower competitions in a year.
20 12, TTXGP and ePower continue to run simultaneously. TTXGP still has European series, North American series and Australian series, but ePower still fails to achieve greater development, with only four competitions throughout the year. Judging from the competition at that time, two competitions similar to electric motorcycles greatly dispersed the team resources of the event, and many teams were composed of R&D teams or institutions with insufficient funds. When a team withdrew from the competition, the Italian CRP team was the most typical representative.
20 13, FIMO and TTXGP both saw the problems encountered in the development of electric motorcycle races, and the competition between the two races caused the shortage of fleet resources. As a result, the two organizations quickly reached a cooperative alliance and merged the two events into one event, which was named eRoadRacing WorldCup. Put forward a three-step plan of short-term, medium-term and long-term: hold competitions in Europe and North America respectively according to TTXGP operation mode in 20 13 years, and then hold the finals. 20 14 will be held all over the world according to the pattern of world championships, and will be held in the same venue as MotoGP, WSBK or WEC under the jurisdiction of FIMO. Six sub-stations will be set up throughout the year, and the driver points system will be implemented. The winner of the championship will be the person who scored the most points in the whole year. After 20 15, the world cup electric motorcycle road race will be held separately, with competitions all over the world, with at least 10 races every year.
However, the ideal failed in the face of reality. After last year's operation, the differences between the two sides in management pressure and management mode are getting bigger and bigger, and the contradictions are getting bigger and bigger, so it is inevitable to go their separate ways. At the beginning of this year, FIA and TTXGP operators broke up amicably, while TTXGP operators got to know the European Automobile Federation. The two sides formed the MotoE RacingChampionship, which will be held in Europe for the first time this year. There will be five competitions in Asunció n, anglesey, Hockenheim and donington. The time and place of the final finals have not yet been determined.
