What does Core mean?

Core is Intel’s registered trademark in China, English Core.

The Core series products correspond to the mid-to-high-end product line for home use, the Pentium is for the mid-to-low-end, and the Celeron is for the entry-level market. These three brands just have different brand positioning.

Core, Core 2, Core i, up to the current second generation Core i, there have been four generations of products. The current second-generation Core i series products use the Sandy Bridge architecture.
