Yongchang Street's Yongchang Ancient Street
Yongchang Street is the most complete ancient street in Jinhua. The street originated in Yuan Dynasty, initially formed in Ming Dynasty and reached its peak in Qing Dynasty. The total length of the ancient street exceeds 1000 meters. Up to now, there are well-preserved ancient neighborhoods in Ming and Qing dynasties, more than 100 shops and more than 20 water attics. The main historical sites in the ancient street include Huizhou Guild Hall in Qing Dynasty, Chongde Hall in Ming Dynasty, and the ancient well in Song 'antou. Among them, Yongchang Ancient Bridge is a three-hole semicircular stone arch bridge. The stone lions on the bridge have different shapes and are lifelike, and the relief pattern of the bluestone fence is very beautiful. Experts believe that Yongchang Ancient Street is of great reference value to the study of ancient commercial culture in western Zhejiang. Now it belongs to provincial historical and cultural villages and towns.

"Ancestors lived in Yongchang, Gong County, the capital of song dynasty, Henan Province, and later moved to Quzhou, where the Xu family got married in Lanxi, hence the name Yongchang. It is said that its land will last forever and its descendants will prosper forever. " Zhao Xianzuo, a Zhao native of Yongchang in the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty, recorded the origin of Yongchang's name in Yongchang Ji. Yongchang Village was originally formed after Zhao Gongchuan, the seventh descendant of Song Taizu's brother Zhao Tingmei, moved in. During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, due to the convenient land and water transportation, it became one of the most important markets in Gulanxi County, where a large number of Huizhou merchants gathered and a guild hall was built.

Yongchang Ancient Street is located in Yongchang Village, Yongchang Street in the west of Lanxi City, about 10 km away from the urban area, and National Highway 330 passes through the ancient street. From the archaeological excavations of Shang and Zhou sites such as Kongtang Dianshan, Dayangshan and Xudianshan, it can be seen that there were human activities in this area as early as Shang and Zhou Dynasties, and villages were formed in wuyue period. Yongchang, named after Yongchang Creek, has always been a place where merchants gather. The ancient street was formed in Yuan Dynasty, developed in Ming Dynasty and reached its peak in Qing Dynasty. Famous businessmen at that time set up Huizhou Guild Hall here, which shows the prosperity of the market and shops at that time. Up to now, the old street still retains its original appearance at that time, and its commerce and trade are quite developed. The ancient street runs east-west, with a total length of1000m and a width of 4-5m. The whole ancient block covers an area of about15000m2, and its overall style is quite complete. There are many alleys radiating outward on both sides of the block, and the pattern is "Feng". Deep in the alley, there are houses, ancestral halls, temples, halls and other buildings. White walls and grey tiles are continuous. There are two streams in the block, which provide domestic water for residents and merchants, and can also be used for transportation, fire fighting and sewage discharge. The main carriageways are Zuoyou Street, Hengjie, Shuikeng Rock, Xitoudui (Li Lishan), Guo Bei Road, Niushi Lane, Goose City Lane, Zhang Lin Lane, Liukou Tang Yan, Qiaoxi Lane, etc. There are more than 100 traditional shops in the old street, including restaurants, Yongyu sauce shops, Lishan Tiepu, Dejitang and Taiweitang. There are two archways at the east and west ends of the ancient street, namely the filial stone square of Zhuge Festival in the 59th year of Qing Qianlong and the clan stone square in the 47th year of Qing Qianlong. There are stone arch bridges, more than 20 water attics and a row of ponds in the middle, which has a beautiful environment. In the twenty-fourth year of Wanli in the Ming Dynasty, Zhao Xianzu wrote in "Yongchang Paitang Collection": "Yongchang is an important town in the city, and the middle of the pond is the weight of the town. The upper and lower lakes spiral up, connected to the weir on the left, connected to Shuangxi on Qianzun Avenue on the right, and followed by residential houses. Some seem to row ponds, hence the name. " Most of the existing traditional buildings in Yongchang were built in the Ming and Qing Dynasties, basically maintaining the pattern of the late Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China. There are various types of buildings, including stone workshops, arch bridges, beam bridges, Xi Gu Road, water attics, ancient shops, ancient houses, ancestral temples, temples and business halls. It has both the characteristics of Jiangnan water town and the traditional flavor. It integrates residence, commerce and workshops, and completely preserves the historical features. It is a typical Jiangnan block. The main cultural relics and historic sites are provincial-level cultural relics protection units' halls, and important traditional buildings include Huizhou Hall, Chongde Hall, Antou Ancient Well, Lee's Hall (Lee's Hall), Temple, Yongchang Bridge, Stone Square and Boundary Stone Square.
