During the Tenth Five-Year Plan period, Sichuan Academy of Animal Husbandry established nine research institutes, including pig breeding, rabbit breeding, poultry, herbivorous livestock, feed, biotechnology, animal nutrition and veterinary, and successively established Sichuan pig breeding research base, Sichuan breeding pig performance testing center, Sichuan animal biotechnology research center, Sichuan dairy technology research center and Sichuan feed science and technology research and development center, and set up research and development platforms, taking the lead. Sichuan Animal Feed Co., Ltd., Sichuan Ding Jian Animal Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., Sichuan Daheng Poultry Breeding Co., Ltd., Sichuan Qika Rabbit Industry Co., Ltd. and Sichuan Huatai Animal Husbandry Development Co., Ltd. were established one after another. In 2003, with the approval of the Provincial Science and Technology Department, Sichuan Animal Husbandry High-tech Park was built in Hanchang, Dayi County, and a platform for the transformation of achievements was built to promote the industrialization of scientific and technological achievements. Establish "China Animal Husbandry Science and Technology Information Network", build a resource sharing platform, and form a resource sharing interaction with well-known domestic animal husbandry industry websites, scientific research institutions and enterprises. Give full play to the distinctive advantages in key technologies such as high-quality livestock and poultry breeding technology, breeding technology, livestock and poultry safety production technology and the establishment of rapid response mechanism for major livestock and poultry diseases, and constantly make breakthroughs in scientific and technological innovation.

In terms of the construction of scientific and technological innovation mechanism, our institute took the lead in completing the full employment system of public institutions in the province's animal husbandry system, separating the evaluation and employment of technical titles from technical posts in the province's scientific research units, and implementing post allowances (including post responsibility allowance, post special allowance, outstanding contribution allowance and economic responsibility target management award) as the core to further improve the scientific research economic responsibility system and the reform of the shareholding structure of scientific and technological enterprises. In the construction of animal husbandry high-tech park, the expert-led system and joint-stock cooperative system have been innovatively implemented, and the personnel management system and incentive mechanism that meet the characteristics of scientific research units have been established, which fully mobilized the enthusiasm of scientific and technological personnel for scientific and technological innovation.

Our college has made a plan for the construction of innovative talents, and made great efforts to build a top team of experts, so as to train outstanding scientific and technological talents into academicians, national candidates for the 100 million talents project in the new century, provincial academic and technological leaders, experts with special government subsidies, outstanding experts in the province, graduate tutors and scientific and technological entrepreneurs. Through the efforts of the Tenth Five-Year Plan, our institute has senior and intermediate scientific and technical personnel 1 16, including 23 researchers, 43 associate researchers, "National Talent Project for the New Century" 1 person, 3 national and provincial outstanding experts, 7 experts enjoying special government subsidies 16, and 7 provincial academic and technical leaders.

The scientific research projects undertaken by our institute include national key projects, spark projects, leap-forward projects of the Ministry of Agriculture, provincial key projects, applied basic projects, achievement transformation fund projects, youth science and technology fund projects and international cooperation projects. Jointly carry out scientific and technological research with relevant institutions of higher learning, and jointly train graduate students and key disciplines. International cooperative research with FAO, International Livestock Research Institute, International Potato Center and Vietnam National Animal Husbandry Research Institute has been continuously extended and expanded. Through serious and in-depth research and extensive exchanges and cooperation, six new strains of livestock and poultry have been cultivated, including Sichuan White Pig I, Qixing Meat Rabbit, Nanjiang Yellow Sheep and Liangshan Semi-fine Wool Sheep. Five new strains, Daheng D99, Daheng S001,Daheng S02, Daheng S03 and Daheng S05, cultivated by the breeding project of high-quality broilers were approved and named by the Sichuan Provincial Animal Variety Approval Committee, and the breeding and quality of meat rabbits were improved. * * * Obtained 204 scientific and technological achievements, including 58 provincial second prizes and national achievement prizes, 6 patents, published 42 scientific and technological papers1,9 of which were published in SCI journals, registered rabbit MHC gene sequence 18 in GenBank, and published 95 monographs. 1 12 to carry out the feasibility study of animal husbandry project.

The research and development of Sichuan Animal Husbandry High-tech Park has filled the gap in the research and development industry of high-tech products such as high-quality broilers, high-quality rabbits and safe feed in our province, and built a high-tech industrialized radiation source and demonstration base for high-quality livestock and poultry breeding and rapid propagation of excellent livestock and poultry varieties. Upon completion, more than 30,000 rural laborers will be transferred and transformed through scientific research, development and demonstration radiation. The annual income of farmers will reach 2.539 billion yuan and the net income will reach 760 million yuan.
