Audi

Audi Motor Company is now a subsidiary of Volkswagen, headquartered in Ingolstadt, Germany, with an annual output of about 450,000 cars. The main products include A3 series, A4 series, A6 series, A8 series and convertible and sports car series. Horch, the founder of Audi Automobile Company, has been engaged in machinery manufacturing for a long time after graduating from university. It integrates theory, practice and experience. Later, Horsch finally realized his wish to design a car. In order to realize his ideal of creating an original business, he went through many twists and turns and named the new company Audi in 1910. These letters were the prefixes of the Latin name of his previous company.

Audi is one of Germany's oldest car manufacturers. From 1932 onwards, Audi began to use the four-ring logo, which symbolizes the merger of Audi with DKW, Horch and Wanderer into the Auto Union company in Chemnitz. In the 1930s, Auto Union covered all passenger car segments the German automotive industry had to offer, from motorcycles to luxury cars.

Audi has been manufacturing cars in Zwickau since 1910 and was regarded as a technologically avant-garde mid-size car from the beginning. The company founded by August Horch in Zwickau in 1909 has used the name Audi since 1910. "Audi" is the Latin translation of "Horch" (meaning "listening" in German). Mainly manufactures luxury cars. Audi was merged into the Small Miracle Group in 1928 and joined the Auto Union Corporation in 1932. From 1912 to 1914, Audi's brilliant performance in the Austrian Alps International Rally fully proved the excellent performance of the Audi brand.

In 1907, Jürgen Skaft Rasmussen founded a company manufacturing instruments and accessories in Zschopau. In 1916, Jürgen Skaft Rasmussen began experimenting with steam-powered road cars in Zschopau and registered a trademark: the letters: DKW (Little Wonder). In 1919, the company now known as the Zschopauer Engine Factory switched to the production of small two-stroke engines, laying the foundation for the successful production of motorcycles in 1922. In 1928, the first Little Miracle small car was launched. In the 1930s, Little Miracles made an important contribution to the popularization of automobiles. After 1945, Little Miracle motorcycles and cars laid the foundation for the rebuilding of the Auto Union company in Ingolstadt.

What makes a classic car or motorcycle? Is it its advanced technical features, styling, or performance? This is of course mainly due to the passion it exuded in the first place, the kind that people can still feel after many years. Every decade in automotive history produces classic models, many from Audi and other companies.
