What is the function of automatic transmission filter?
There is indeed a screen filter in the automatic transmission to filter the oil in the gearbox. This filter is called liquid filter. It is usually located in the oil tank at the bottom of the gearbox. After operation, the transmission oil will flow to the oil tank, and then be pumped out by the oil pump for recycling. The replacement cycle of liquid filter depends on different transmission designs, ranging from tens of thousands to hundreds of thousands of kilometers.
