Cheng Huai Taste

When I asked the young painter Zhuang Ling to help me paint a landscape painting with the title "Chenghuai Taste", he said: "These four words are of a very high level! They are almost Chinese culture The core." I smiled knowingly.

These four words come from the painting theory "Preface to Painting Landscapes" by Zong Bing, a painter from the Liu and Song Dynasties in the Southern and Northern Dynasties: "The sage reflects the Tao and reflects the objects, and the sage clears the taste and image." Cheng means clarity. , used as a verb here; embrace refers to our mind and heart as human beings; taste is the verb to taste; Xiang is an image. Roughly speaking, the literal meaning of these four words is: "to make our hearts clear and appreciate all the phenomena in the universe."

Furthermore, the word "xiang" does not only refer to tangible, Visible and tangible "object images" also include subtle "mental images", including the "relationship" between things, and the "process" of the development of things. This "taste" is also different from direct and specific seeing, listening, doing, etc., but a continuous and immersive experience and perception.

A saint is a rational personality that can be infinitely approached but never reached. He can "contain the reflection of the Tao", that is, he himself is the Tao, and he can observe it without hindrance. Everything. But real people can only work hard to become a sage who can "taste images", and get closer to the Tao and the saint through the experience and understanding of all things in the universe.

The premise of "flavor image" is to "clear one's mind" and get rid of obsessions and prejudices, which is what Laozi said "to the extreme of emptiness", being as open-minded as possible is equivalent to what Song Confucianism said "Changing temperament", facing and integrating into the world with a pure and true heart, can we understand the way of rotation and rotation from the universe and follow the way.

I read Zong Bing's "Preface to Painting Landscapes" very early on. I liked it very much and re-read it from time to time. Many years ago, when I was preparing to start a tea business, I came up with the word "Chenghuai Weixiang" and registered it as a trademark. Once when I visited a tea expo, I saw a snow-white teapot engraved with the words "Clear Huai Ruo Mirror". I immediately felt that its owner "must be me" and I immediately put it in my bag.

This year, the epidemic made me decide to "do what I want to do and can do quickly." So I asked Tianjin calligrapher Yu Chu to write the full text of "Preface to Painting Landscapes", and I also asked Gansu painter Zhuang Ling to paint a landscape painting with the title "Chenghuai Taste".

Yesterday, Brother Liu Qian helped me frame these two calligraphy and painting works into a long scroll - a combination of calligraphy and painting, and thus, the treasure of Zicheng Tea Industry was born!

The sage holds the Tao and reflects the objects, while the sage clears the image of the taste. As for the mountains and rivers, they are both qualitative and interesting. Therefore, Xuanyuan, Yao, Kong, Guangcheng, Dakai, Xuyou, Guzhu and others must have the Youyan of Kongtong, Juci, Miaogu, Jishou and Dameng, also known as the joy of benevolence and wisdom. Husband, the sage uses the divine method and the way to make the sage understand; the landscape uses the shape to charm the way and the benevolent person enjoys it. Isn’t it almost the same!

I am nostalgic for Lu and Heng, and I love Kuojing and Wu. I don’t know that old age is coming. I feel ashamed that I can’t gather my energy and enjoy myself, and I am hurt by the people who stand on tiptoe at the stone gate, so I paint the color of the painting and compose Yunling. Those whose principles are superior to those of the Middle Ages can be thought of for thousands of years, and those whose purpose is beyond words and images can be taken from the heart in the book and policy. What's more, the body is wandering around, the eyes are prepared, and the form is written in form. , by color and appearance.

The Kunlun Mountains are so big and the pupils are so small that if they are pressed within an inch of the eye, their shape cannot be seen; if they are several miles away, they can be surrounded by an inch of eyes. If the distance is slightly wider, the view will become smaller. Nowadays, the silk is used to reflect the distance, so the shape of Kunlang can be enclosed within a square inch. If you draw three inches vertically, it will be as high as a thousand people; if you draw several feet horizontally, it will be a hundred miles away. Therefore, those who observe and draw pictures only suffer from the misfortune of resemblance, and do not make the resemblance cumbersome by minimizing it. This is the natural tendency. In this case, the beauty of Songhua and the spirit of Xuanfei can all be captured in one picture.

If the principle is to respond to the eyes and understand the heart, if the analogy is clever, then the eyes will respond in the same way, and the heart will also understand, and the gods will be able to sense the spirit, and the spirit will surpass the rational understanding. Why add it? Moreover, the nature of the spirit is at the end of the world. It dwells in the form and senses, and the reason is integrated into the shadows. Sincerity can write wonderfully, and it is also sincere.

So I stayed idle to regulate my Qi, brushed my wine glasses and played the harp, and sat in a secluded setting to study the four wildernesses. The peaks and peaks are high, the clouds and forests are dim, the sages and sages are reflected in the peerless world, and all kinds of interesting things blend into their thoughts. What else can I do? It’s just refreshing. Whoever has the freedom of God is the first!
