Why is there a Mercedes-Benz logo on the van in Shanghai Huizhong?

The Mercedes-Benz MB100 (now called Huizhong) and the Shanghai Huizhong van are actually the Mercedes-Benz MB100 van produced by Ssangyong in South Korea.

The Mercedes-Benz MB100 business bus production project transferred from South Korea's Ssangyong has been settled in Shanghai Huizhong in 2003. Shanghai Huizhong used SAIC Yizheng Factory to officially launch the domestic MB100 in the first quarter of 2004.

Relevant people from Shanghai Huizhong told reporters that Haihuizhong has reached an agreement with South Korea's Ssangyong. Shanghai Huizhong purchased the entire production line of South Korea's Ssangyong MB100 in 2003 and "transplanted" it to a factory in Jiangsu. Production is carried out at the SAIC Yizheng factory in Yizheng. In the first quarter of 2004, the domestically produced MB100 will be officially launched, and its price is estimated to be around 200,000 yuan.

It is understood that the MB100 is a light commercial bus owned by Mercedes-Benz. However, due to the technical cooperation agreement signed by South Korea's Ssangyong and Germany's Mercedes-Benz, the MB100 is produced in South Korea's Ssangyong, but it has always used the "Mercedes-Benz" trademark.
