Waterbeds are known as the sexiest beds. I have slept on them for a year, and I have no fondness for them. I just find them annoying.

The first disadvantage of a water bed is that the bed cannot be made neatly, because the water in the bed will swing around when it touches it, making the bed messy.

The second disadvantage of a waterbed is that it is cold. Unless the waterbed has a temperature regulator, it will be freezing cold when you sleep on it. The chill will penetrate your spine. It is too cold even in summer. I often felt that sleeping on a water bed for a long time would cause rheumatism. That year I kept putting a nylon quilt under the sheets to block the cold air from the water bed. A year later, I took off the nylon quilt and found that it was stuck to the water bed. There is a layer of greenish-green stuff that looks like moss on one side, which shows how heavy the moisture is. Many people think that plastic is not breathable. In fact, plastic is breathable, but it does so very slowly. Glass bottles are not breathable, but plastic bottles are. The contents inside will not change in the short term, but they will change over time. I thought: If I didn’t have to be separated that year, I don’t know what would happen to my back.
