How can I clean the moldy cross stitch?

The main reason why cross stitch becomes moldy is moisture. It is recommended to clean the clothes in time, dry them thoroughly and store them in a dry place. Mildew is difficult to remove, so different colors and materials require different cleaning methods.

1. If the cross-stitch is made of white cotton, linen, or polyester, you can use Blue Moonlight White Clothes Stain Cleaner to remove mildew spots:

(1) Use laundry detergent first Wash the cross stitch with liquid;

(2) Add 1 bottle cap (40g) of Blue Moonlight White Clothing Stain Cleaner (600g specification) into half a basin of water (about 2 liters), and stir well. Soak in white clothes for 30 minutes and rinse clean. If there are still stains that have not been removed after soaking for 2 hours, take out the cross stitch, add another 1 bottle cap of this product to the basin, mix well, put the cross stitch in and continue soaking. The total soaking time shall not exceed 6 hours.

Note: Do not use the original solution directly.

2. For colored and white cross-stitch made of other materials, you can use Blue Moonlight Color Clothing Stain Cleaner combined with Collar Cleaner to remove mildew spots:

(1) Use laundry detergent first Wash the cross stitch;

(2) Pour a small amount of water (about 0.5 liters) into the basin, and use the bottle cap of Blue Moonlight Colored Clothing Stain Net (600g specification) to measure the color of the colored clothing, Add 1.5 bottle caps each (60 grams each) of collar to water and mix well. Let the cross stitch soak overnight and rinse clean.

*

The amount of water should be enough to make the cross stitch just wet. The amount of stains on colored clothing and the amount of collars should be increased or decreased accordingly according to the amount of water. If there are still stains that have not been removed after soaking overnight, you can continue to extend the soaking time (mildew is more difficult to remove and generally requires soaking for several days).

Note: Colored clothing stain remover is not suitable for clothes that fade easily or dry cleaning. If you are not sure about the fabric of the clothes, you can try it in a hidden part of the clothes first; and avoid contact with metal on the clothes when using it. Keep buttons, zippers, metal accessories, etc. away from direct sunlight.
