Now is the preparation period of spring sowing, and farmers are buying early rice seeds suitable for sowing. However, the colorful seed packaging bags on the market are dazzling, and the names of seed varieties are varied. Some farmer friends said that they couldn't see the pros and cons of seeds from the outside, and they didn't know what kind of seeds to buy, so they had to blindly follow the recommendation of merchants. However, merchants often recommend the most expensive and profitable products, but the quality is not guaranteed. This is an old problem that puzzles farmers' friends. Based on many years of law enforcement experience, the author summarizes several suggestions to help farmers choose spring sowing seeds. First, look at the seed label: to buy seeds, you must first carefully look at the labels inside and outside the package. According to the Measures for the Administration of Crop Seed Labeling, hybrid rice seed labels should be marked with variety name, variety approval number, place of origin, seed production license number, business license, quality index, quarantine certificate number, net content, production year, production trademark, address and contact information of production enterprises. It is necessary to check whether the above contents are complete, otherwise it should be suspected as fake and inferior seeds. Pay special attention to the variety approval number. Any seed that is not marked with the approval number of "National Examination", "Jiangxi Examination" and "Jiangxi Introduction" is not suitable for planting in Jiangxi, so don't buy it, otherwise it will fall into the dilemma of claim if something goes wrong. Second, it depends on uniformity: the grain type of hybrid rice mixed with other rice is irregular. Third, look at the hull color: the hull of hybrid rice seeds is slightly uneven yellow-brown and other physiological variegated, while the grain color of the male parent and the maintainer line is relatively consistent. The maintainer line and other hybrid seeds are more transparent than hybrid rice seeds, and the husk is smoother than hybrid rice seeds. Fourth, look at the stigma marks: the grains of non-hybrid rice are mostly self-pollinated, and there are stigma marks of pistils in the chaff. After the chaff is peeled off, a light black stigma mark can be seen at the top of the rice grain. However, the hybrid is cross-pollinated and the stigma is exposed. If we carefully observe the middle of the grain between lemma and lemma, we can find a little inconspicuous small black spot, that is, stigma marks, which is an important basis for distinguishing hybrid rice seeds from other rice seeds. 5. Look at the seed purity: hand-copied seeds, fingers stained with fine powder, which proves that the seed purity can not reach the national standard (99%). Sixth, look at the water content of seeds: the simple method is to bite the grain with your teeth. If there is crunchy, the content is basically normal; If there is no crisp sound or irregular grain surface, the water content of seeds is generally higher than the normal standard (13%).
