Yuanyang refers to Yuanyang County, which belongs to Xinxiang City, Henan Province. Yuanyang County is located in the northern plain of Henan Province, with the Yellow River in the south and the Yuhe Channel in the north. The terrain is high in the southwest and low in the northeast. The landform belongs to the alluvial plain of the Yellow River, with Fengqiu in the east, Wuzhi and Huojia in the west, Xinxiang and Yanjin in the back, and Zhongmu and Zhengzhou across the river in the south. Yuanyang was called Bolangsha in ancient times, and it is famous for Zhang Liang's stabbing Qin here. From Qin and Han Dynasties to Yuan Dynasty, there were 13 famous historical figures whose officials arrived at the post of prime minister.

Famous specialty

Yuanyang rice is known as "the first rice in China". Yuanyang rice is planted on the land improved by the Yellow River, watered by the Yellow River water rich in organic compounds and various trace elements, and combined with the special climate with large temperature difference between day and night in this area, thus creating the quality of Yuanyang rice. The saline-alkali land in Yuanyang County endows rice with inherent alkalinity, which makes Yuanyang rice full of flavor when cooking without adding alkali. The rice produced is unique, the rice quality is crystal clear, soft and sweet, the fragrance is pure and the palatability is strong.

In March 1996, Yuanyang rice was approved as green food by China Green Food Development Center. In October 22, Yuanyang rice was awarded the "Certificate of Origin Trademark" by the State Administration for Industry and Commerce, which became the first registered certificate of origin trademark in Henan Province and the first in the rice industry in China, and was praised as "the first rice in China".

The secondary industry

Industrial production has formed an industrial system with automobile parts, comprehensive chemical industry, deep processing of agricultural and sideline products, dairy products production, cotton spinning and wine making as the mainstay. Yuanyang county has become the largest production base of automobile brakes in Henan province. Auto parts industry, in which Henan Wanxiang System Brake Co., Ltd. is controlled by Zhejiang Wanxiang System Co., Ltd., with total assets of 35 million yuan, mainly produces heavy, medium, light, micro and sedan car brake assemblies, and the products are mainly supported by FAW Group, Dongfeng Company and other OEMs. The "Brake Industrial Park" invested by Zhejiang Wanxiang Group, a key enterprise in China, has been under construction.
