Huoqiu wickerwork is a traditional wickerwork handicraft of the Han nationality in Huoqiu County, Anhui Province. It has a long history, originated in the Zhou Dynasty, started in the Ming Dynasty and then flourished in the Qing Dynasty. The varieties of wickerwork have developed from dozens of household appliances with traditional techniques to dozens of knitting techniques such as fine knitting, fine knitting, transparent knitting, color matching knitting, dyeing knitting and mixed knitting (willow-bamboo mixing, willow-hemp mixing, willow-wood mixing and willow-grass mixing). Annual renovation and sample creation, with more than 2, kinds of samples, not only inherited the traditional handicrafts, but also carried them forward, forming a unique new technology in wickerwork. Huoqiu wickerwork was approved as a national geographical indication product, and its traditional craft was included in the third batch of national intangible cultural heritage list. Due to the difficulty of wickerwork's craft technology, long learning cycle and complicated procedures, such as peeling and baking, it is particularly hard to do. Some old artists have died one after another, and young people are unwilling to learn, which leads to the loss of some crafts and is facing an endangered situation.
