As a century-old brand, "Botou Match" can be said to be a household name. Botou Match Co., Ltd., formerly known as Bozhen Yonghua Match Co., Ltd., was founded in May 1912. Feng Guozhang, then acting president of the Republic of China, invested 40,000 yuan in cash in the company and carried out the first reorganization before liberation. The company became so famous that some dictionaries wrote when explaining the entry of Bozhen: "Bozhen, a place name, has a famous match factory." In 1948, Bozhen Yonghua Match Co., Ltd. became one of the earliest public-private joint ventures in the Shanxi-Chahar-Hebei Border Region and even in the country. In May 1950, Bozhen Yonghua Match Co., Ltd. became state-owned. "Botou Match" accelerated its pace of development and began to grow from small to large, from weak to strong, and quickly grew into the largest match manufacturer in China and even Asia, rewriting the history of Chinese people's dependence on "match". On October 27, 1998, the company was reorganized and Botou Match (Group) Co., Ltd. was formally established. The company has been promoted to provincial advanced enterprises, national second-level enterprises, key enterprises of the Ministry of Light Industry, and is one of the 500 largest chemical industries in the country. "Botou Match" is a nationally renowned brand, one of the first batch of famous trademarks in Hebei Province, and enjoys the gold medal honor of the "5th Asia and Pacific International Trade Expo".
