Compared with paper inkjet printing, due to the diversity of fabric varieties and raw materials, especially the particularity of color fastness and hand feeling required by printed fabrics, there are differences between paper inkjet printing and fabric printing, and more problems will appear in fabric inkjet printing.

In order to create better digital inkjet printing effect, some important problems should be paid attention to in use.

(1) Ensure good environment and correct use.

Because inkjet printers are developed from paper inkjet printers, their operating environment and other factors are similar to those of ordinary color inkjet printers. In order to make inkjet printing print beautiful images, it is necessary to ensure that it is in the best working condition, and to ensure that the ink is in the best use level and give full play to the special properties of the ink. Therefore, in order to operate reasonably and maintain diligently, we must complete the whole operation in strict accordance with the instructions for use, especially to develop the correct switching habit, and we must not operate at will or in disorder. Turning the printer on and off seems to be the simplest thing, but it is of great significance to the maintenance of inkjet printers.

Generally, when the printer is turned on or off, it is necessary to carry out system initialization detection to detect whether the printer is ready, fill the ink cartridge nozzle with ink, and automatically clean the print head. In order to ensure normal work, reduce the failure rate, eliminate hidden dangers, ensure the normal use of ink, reduce the loss of ink and other materials, and improve work efficiency. When the printer is charging, it is not allowed to unplug the power plug forcibly, and it will be turned off abnormally, which will easily lead to the failure of printing head positioning. In order to ensure the good operation of the inkjet printer, it is generally required that the temperature of the working environment is 15~35 degrees Celsius, the humidity is 20%~80%, and the environment is as clean as possible without electrostatic interference. There are countless tiny nozzles on the nozzle of inkjet printing machine, which are exposed to the air when not working. Because the aperture size of the nozzle is equivalent to the dust floating in the space, if the working environment of the printer is poor and there is a lot of dust, the tiny nozzle is easily polluted and blocked by dust. If the indoor humidity is too high, not only the machine parts are easy to rust, but also the nozzle is difficult to ensure that it will not rust. The temperature change range of the working environment of the printing machine should not be too large, because the inkjet printing machine not only contains a large number of metal parts, but also contains a large number of engineering plastic parts, and the nozzle aperture is very small. If the ambient temperature changes too much, the thermal expansion of parts will cause excessive wear of mechanical parts, and the change of nozzle aperture size will also affect the printing quality.

Printing machines also need dust removal and maintenance after working for a period of time.

Operators should know the basic knowledge of printing and dyeing, be sensitive to color and light, have a certain appreciation of handicrafts, be conscientious and meticulous in their work, have a strong sense of responsibility, have a high enthusiasm for work, and have a certain application foundation of pattern design software.

(2) Use high-quality ink

Among the ink-jet printing consumables, ink is the main factor affecting the quality of ink-jet printing. Using unqualified ink not only seriously affects the printing quality, but also causes damage to the machine. The quality of ink can determine the quality of printed images and the service life of nozzles. Ink is the blood of the whole system, which is directly related to the quality of the whole printing. It has the most direct influence on color authenticity, color expressive force, visual impact, fading resistance, and even on the service life of printers and the physical and mental health of users. The requirements for ink are usually as follows:

① The color is accurate and can reach the primary color.

② The fineness of ink particles should be fine, otherwise it is easy to block the ink head.

③ The price of ink should be low, otherwise it will affect the promotion and use of digital printing.

At present, there are two main ways of digital ink-jet printing, namely YMCK ink-jet printing based on high-precision nozzles (dot matrix printing) and pre-mixed-color printing in which dyes are pre-mixed into certain colors and then sprayed on fabrics. When printing with YMCK, in order to obtain high fineness and smooth light transition color, high resolution is needed, which requires a small fineness of the nozzle and high requirements for ink, so it is difficult to improve the ink-jet speed, but the amount of dyes used is relatively small, and the basic color is four colors. Dot matrix printing is a widely used printing method at present. Because the nozzle diameter of the nozzle is very small and the printing resolution is high, the requirements for ink viscosity, surface tension, inorganic salt content and particle fineness of dye are very high.

(3) Pay attention to the maintenance of ink cartridges to prevent ink leakage.

Ink cartridge is an integrated product that spans many high-tech fields such as modern chemical industry, materials and microelectronics. The manufacturing process of ink and ink cartridge is highly technical and professional. We should try to choose original consumables with good quality to ensure perfect printing effect, ensure the good operation of the machine and reduce the rejection rate and failure rate. Don't use compatible ink and ink cartridge with low price and poor quality, which not only can't guarantee the printing quality, but also is prone to ink leakage and other faults. The leaked ink not only pollutes the working environment, but also may damage the machine and waste fabrics. Inferior ink may also lead to nozzle blockage, ink cartridge or nozzle scrap, and even burn out the driver chip. When using the machine for the first time every day, self-check should be carried out to ensure that the waveform test chart of each self-check is good, so that the nozzle can use this compatible ink for a long time.

In addition, the ink cartridge should not be exposed to the air for a long time to avoid the print head drying up and blocking. Do not disassemble the ink cartridge in a dusty environment. When installing a new ink cartridge, the print head must be cleaned once. Do not touch the outlet of the ink cartridge by hand to prevent impurities from mixing into the ink cartridge. Because ink is conductive, if it is splashed on the circuit board, it should be wiped with anhydrous ethanol, dried and then electrified, otherwise it may damage the circuit components; Don't bump the ink cartridge to avoid ink leakage. Ink leakage is a common problem in inkjet printing, and it is also a problem that should be paid attention to at all times. The main reasons for ink leakage are:

① When filling ink is used, the intelligent chip of the ink supply system of the machine is shielded, and it is impossible to effectively monitor the use of ink. The feedback information of the chip is incomplete, which can not effectively guide users to use ink, resulting in ink leakage.

② Because there is always some air in the ink cartridge, the air pressure keeps normal due to the existence of air holes. Too much ink is filled into the ink cartridge through ink filling, which destroys the pressure in the printer nozzle and the airtightness of the ink cartridge, so that the air pressure adjustment function fails, the temperature in the ink cartridge will rise, so that the internal pressure is greater than the external atmospheric pressure, and the ink is ejected from the print head, resulting in ink leakage.

(3) The quality of the ink can't meet the requirements, and it will deteriorate after being used for a period of time, producing large and small particles, which not only corrodes the print head, but also causes the nozzle to be blocked and does not produce ink. When the machine vibrates strongly, ink leakage will occur.

(4) When ink is filled, the aperture is destroyed and changed. When the machine runs faster, ink is thrown out of the nozzle, resulting in ink leakage. In short, the ink leakage fault is mainly caused by the use of filling and inferior ink. It not only causes serious damage to the ink supply system, printing nozzle and mechanical equipment, but also has a small color gamut and impure color, which is easy to produce color difference and cannot guarantee the image quality.

(4) Maintenance of main components such as printing head.

Embedded in the intelligent print head, micro read-write memory or intelligent chip can automatically adjust the working state of ink-jet printing, keep printing in the best state, provide relevant information of the print head, automatically save ink-jet data and history, and prompt the remaining amount of ink. For the nozzle, the nozzle cannot be detached from the main machine and placed separately; Don't put it in a high temperature and low humidity environment for a long time, so as to avoid the evaporation of water in the ink to dry the ink and block the nozzle; Don't put the nozzle in a place where static electricity is easy to generate, so as not to damage the circuit board and thermal elements in the nozzle by static electricity; Do not hit the nozzle and remove the nozzle; Do not clean the nozzle with water to avoid clogging the nozzle; Do not wipe the nozzle surface with facial paper, lens paper and cloth; Oil, alcohol, etc. Prevent dripping on the nozzle, so as to avoid solidification blockage caused by the change of ink composition; Don't blow air into the nozzle to avoid ink pollution or decrease of ink surface tension, which will affect printing. Do not clean the print head frequently when printing normally, because it is not only expensive, but also easy to wear the print head.

The print head will block the nozzle hole due to long printing time, long-term unused, improper use of ink, poor quality of ink cartridge and other reasons, which will affect the printing quality and even lead to the scrapping of the whole print head. If the nozzle is blocked during operation, the print head should be cleaned. For some print heads that can't work because the nozzle is temporarily blocked, the printing function can be restored after general maintenance, which can usually be solved by simple flushing. Most inkjet printers automatically clean the print head when they are turned on, and there is a button to clean the print head. Therefore, for normal printing, but lack of strokes or colors, or the image is blurred at high resolution, the printer's own nozzle cleaning program can generally be used to solve the problem. Therefore, when it is found that the nozzle is slightly blocked, such as insufficient strokes or poor colors, it should be cleaned as soon as possible with a cleaning program, which is the simplest and best maintenance method. In the process of printing, the machine frequently adds ink or cleans the nozzle, but the printing effect is still not good, or the nozzle of the print head is seriously blocked, so the machine can't add ink, or the printer refuses to work, so manual cleaning can only be used.

Please pay attention to the following points when cleaning the print head:

① Don't clean the nozzle with sharp objects, don't hit the nozzle, and don't touch the nozzle with your hands;

(2) Do not disassemble and install the nozzle under the charged state, and do not touch the electrical contacts of the printer with hands or other objects;

(3) the nozzle can't be detached from the printer and placed alone, nor can it be placed in a dusty place. Although the manual cleaning method is not complicated, due to the need to disassemble the nozzle, the cleaning times should not be too much or too frequent, and care should be taken not to pollute the electrode part during operation.
