Crane (red-crowned crane) is a rare bird in China, and its song is loud and clear. There is a cloud in the Book of Songs: "Cranes listen in the sky." Said it could fly high and sing in the sky. The crane is regarded as a god bird by Taoism, and it is also called crane with fairy in front. Crane's life span is generally fifty or sixty years, and it is a long-lived bird. In Taoist stories, there is an allusion to becoming a crane after eclosion: it is said that there was a man named Ding in Liaodong in Jin Dynasty who became a crane fairy after learning Taoism.
It is also said that pine trees are as long as a hundred trees, evergreen and immortal, Gu Song's fat can be turned into poria cocos in a thousand years, and those who eat can live forever, so scholars love to practice under Gu Song. There is a story in Neurology: In ancient times, there was a stone chamber in Nanguoshan, Xingyang County. At the back of the room is a Gu Song, with a height of 1000 feet and a shadow of half a mile. There are often two cranes flying on it. They never leave each other. According to legend, a couple of Mu Dao lived in seclusion in this stone room in Han Dynasty, and later came to Baihexian. They transformed the pair of white cranes on the pine branches. In this way, the auspicious meanings of "Song He Ling Shou" and "Song He Changchun" have derived many auspicious birthday pictures, including Zhu Xuanxian's traditional Chinese painting "Song He Picture", which has become a common theme in art works from ancient times to the present.
