GOSICK is a series of mystery novels written by Naoki Naoki in Japan. Title meaning

The meaning of the title "Gossick" is unclear, while the subtitle "ゴシック" means "Goth" and its pronunciation is similar to that of "Gossick". When the animated version of Gossick was broadcast on TVB, it was translated into Detective Goth.
