if a cardholder rents or lends a credit card, there will be the following consequences: the issuing bank will order him to make corrections and impose a fine within RMB in 1 yuan. Generally, the fine will be agreed with the cardholder in advance by the issuing bank in the application form, the contract and other contractual documents.

Legal basis

Article 59 of the Measures for the Administration of Bank Card Business

If a cardholder rents or lends his credit card and its account, the card-issuing bank shall order him to make corrections and impose a fine within RMB in 1 yuan (agreed in advance by the card-issuing bank in the application form, contract and other contractual documents).

Article 6

If the cardholder deposits the cash of the unit into the account of the unit card or deposits the money of the unit into the account of the personal card, the People's Bank of China shall order it to make corrections, and impose a fine within RMB of 1 yuan on the unit card and the cardholder of the personal card.

Article 61

Any unit or individual under any of the following circumstances shall be dealt with according to the Criminal Law of the People's Republic of China and relevant laws and regulations:

(1) obtaining or using a credit card fraudulently;

(2) forging or altering bank cards;

(3) malicious overdraft;

(4) using bank cards and their equipment to defraud bank funds.
