If it is a China Merchants Bank credit card, the card owner needs to apply for it. Others cannot apply with your ID card. If you suspect that someone else has used your ID card to apply for a credit card, you can call the bank's customer service for consultation and verification. The answer from the phone customer service shall prevail.

If you lose your ID card, it is recommended to contact the public security agency to report the loss.

Credit records can be queried through the People's Bank of China Credit Information System, and all credit card application records can be queried:

a. Please log in to the People's Bank of China Credit Information Center website and select "Core "Internet Personal Credit Information Service Platform" under "Business", and then click "Start Now" to apply for inquiry;

b. Please bring your ID card to the local People's Bank of China branch for on-site inquiry.
