In 2022, the announcement of the declaration of the national social science fund art project was released recently. Art is an independent discipline in the national social science fund project, which is declared by the National Art Science Planning Office. In terms of project setting, the art project began to set up the western project in 2005; Since 2007, the original "National Art Science Planning Project" has been renamed as "National Social Science Fund Art Project". And the project review cycle will be changed from biennial to annual. At the same time, the original self-funded projects are cancelled and divided into five categories: entrusted projects, key projects, general projects, youth projects and western projects.
In the national social science fund, the declaration of art projects is slightly different from other disciplines, such as the loose-leaf requirement that the number of words for argumentation should not exceed 4000 words. Applicants need to log in to the national art science planning project declaration management system to fill in. Once the priority research direction (marked with *) in the project guide is approved, the funding amount can be moderately relaxed according to the actual needs of research work. The art subject guide is subdivided into several sub-fields, such as "basic art theory, drama, film, radio and television and new media art, music, dance, art, design art, integration (related to literature and tourism)". All projects that meet these eight categories can be declared, especially the "comprehensive" category. There are many interdisciplinary topics in the guide, and teachers in other disciplines can also declare them as appropriate.
