Zhang Mingchuan, male, 1962 was born in Changyi, Shandong Province. He graduated from the Fine Arts Department of PLA Art College and is a military painter.

1990 graduated from the Fine Arts Department of Qingdao Education College. He is a member of China Artists Association and once worked as a full-time painter in the studio of the political department of the North Sea Fleet of the Navy. He is currently a senior artist in the literary workshop of the Political Department of the North Sea Fleet of the Navy, a member of the China Artists Association, a creative member of the Creation Center of the China Artists Association, and a member of the Shandong Federation of Literary and Art Circles.

In 2005, he won the special award of the 10th National Art Exhibition-Guan Shanyue Art Fund Award;
