The trademark categories are as follows:

First, they are divided according to the structure of trademark elements. It is mainly divided into the following seven types of trademarks:

3. Collective trademark. A collective trademark is applied for registration in the name of a group, association or organization. Only members of the organization can legally use it to indicate their qualifications as members of the collective organization.

4. Certification trademark. Certification trademarks are applied for by organizations that have the ability to detect and supervise the specific quality of goods or services. Certification trademarks are open, that is, operators other than the organization can request them as long as their goods or services meet the specified specific quality. The purpose of using this certification mark is to indicate that the quality of its goods or services has reached a specified specific quality, such as a geographical indication certification mark.

Of course, the registration fees for collective marks and certification marks are higher than the registration fees for commodity trademarks and service marks.

The term "collective trademark" as mentioned in this Law refers to a mark registered in the name of a group, association or other organization for use by members of the organization in commercial activities to indicate the user's membership in the organization.

The term "certification trademark" as used in this Law means that it is controlled by an organization with the ability to supervise certain goods or services and is used by units or individuals other than the organization to certify the goods or services. The origin, raw materials, manufacturing methods, quality or other signs of specific quality of the goods or services.

Special matters concerning the registration and management of collective trademarks and certification marks shall be stipulated by the industrial and commercial administration department of the State Council.
