The State Intellectual Property Office issued the "Administrative Measures for Patent Priority Examination", which will come into effect on August 1, 2017.

If the applicant meets the conditions and the State Intellectual Property Office agrees to conduct priority examination:

1. The invention patent application shall issue the first notice of examination opinion within forty-five days, and within one year The case is closed;

2. Utility model and design patent applications are closed within two months;

3. Patent review cases are closed within seven months;

4. Invention and utility model patent invalidation cases shall be concluded within five months, and design patent invalidation cases shall be concluded within four months.
